The Mitternight Distinctive
In the traditional model, an owner contracts an engineering firm, who contracts procurement, who contracts construction management, fabrication, and construction — losing time and money at every hand-off. Mitternight self-performs engineering, procurement, construction management, fabrication, and construction under one roof.
-WHY EPC WITH MITTERNIGHT
Mitternight Technology
Package Designs
Mitternight Project Development engineers and manufactures modular equipment packages that maximize modularization efficiency, minimize field installation risk, and cut redundant engineering costs to reach the market faster. Current initiatives center on three core technologies:
Biogas-to-SAF
(GTL Technology)
Autothermal Reformer and/or Steam Methane Reformer systems that convert biogas-derived syngas into Sustainable Aviation Fuel through a Fischer-Tropsch pathway, supplemented by electrolysis-based hydrogen. Suited to landfill gas, wastewater/sewer treatment, and agricultural waste feedstocks. Mitternight is also developing a Direct Air Capture-to-SAF application.
Cellulosic Waste to Biogenic Green Hydrogen
A carbon-negative process producing green hydrogen from woody biomass, with a demonstration plant operating in Alabama using cellulosic feedstock. The same modular platform can also yield biochar and renewable fuels such as renewable diesel, marine fuels, and SAF from feedstocks worldwide.
Green Ammonia via Partial Oxidation (POX)
Converts methane into syngas via partial oxidation, then into hydrogen for direct sale or conversion to ammonia. The net-exothermic process generates steam to drive a turbine generator, with the option to self-generate power on-site using methane, renewable gas, ammonia, or hydrogen.
